“Last year at this time, I was miserable - feeling bloated and unhealthy, my weight had crept up to an embarrassing number. A good friend of mine told me about this challenge she was doing - and every week, she was shrinking before my eyes. She told me another challenge would be starting after summer, and she needed a partner to join her. I thought, it's now or never! Cindy was positive and encouraging from the get go. She focused on what I could eat (not what I couldn't, like many diets do). It didn't feel restrictive - it was just smarter choices. I lost 6 pounds in my first week. I was hooked. I had no idea how much unnecessary sugar I had been eating before. Since the fall challenge, I've lost close to 20 pounds and made it to my goal weight. I even successfully met another goal - I finally got my engagement and wedding rings off so I could clean them. I hadn't done that in 3+ years because I was so overweight and bloated. Last week my husband even asked if he could start eating like me because he's seen my success. He's heading back into the office after 2 years and needs to fit into a suit again. He's already down 5 pounds! Weight loss is such a personal journey - I'm so grateful that my friend asked me to join her for the challenge. Cindy has been extremely supportive and patient with me along the way. Eating healthier is definitely part of my lifestyle now. While I'm incredibly happy with my weight loss, I haven't been as committed to exercising. I would get 10,000 steps in a day, but never really pushed myself to step up my workout. So my journey continues - going to start Cindy's classes next week! Thank you, Cindy, for helping me change my ways for good!”
